May Motors launches Oman’s very first electric car


The Sultanate of Oman has now officially become a major player in the e-vehicles industry.


Omani company Mays Motors launched the country’s very first indigenous electric car. The Sultanate of Oman has now officially become a major player in the e-vehicles industry.+





 

The project is funded by Oman Technology Fund (OTF), which seeks to put Oman on the tech leaderboard! The OTF invests and partners with emerging firms and entrepreneurs in the technology sector. It aims to become the hotspot of innovation in the Middle East. OTF’s partnership with Mays has heralded a new era of innovation and tech revolution in Oman.


The car can accelerate to 100 Km/hr in mere 4.9 seconds! With a futuristic design and some really cool specs, the fleet of May’s electric cars are selling like hot cake, with more in the production pipeline.

The company’s website claims that the first 100 vehicles are already booked. They are expected to produce 300 more. The company is also seeking more investors and partners whilst actively showcasing its tech prowess in expos globally.
